Felting Magic

Felting or Fulling a finished knit product has a certain magical quality to the process. Janis knit this great Intarsia bag from an Interweave Knits pattern out of Cascade 220. It was big and loose and a bit misshapen.

She put it in the washing machine with some detergent, hot water and agitated it for a while. After 30 minutes or so it was done and she has a sturdy colorful bag!

This is the Fiber Trends Gelato Bag before I felted it. 

Here is the Gelato bag after felting . I am really pleased with how it turned out. I have felted many projects over the years and I am always surprised and happy with the magical result.
